Nicole McLaughlin Workshop
To celebrate Nicole’s footwear launch with Puma, we were invited to develop a workshop concept inspired by the launch’s central theme, “Sweeping the factory floor.” As long-time followers and admirers of Nicole’s work—and the strong sustainability ethos that underpins it—we were genuinely excited to collaborate. She has long been a role model for us and a major influence on our own practice and the way we approach workshops and collective making.
Building on this, we created a flexible graphic toolbox that could be applied to simply constructed bags, a format suggested by Nicole herself. What began as a clear, accessible framework quickly evolved in unexpected ways, as the group of designers pushed the concept further—challenging themselves to go beyond the brief and transform the pieces into bespoke, one-of-a-kind outcomes.
