Ceramic Boot
Workshop
Ceramic football boots, hand-painted and glazed - each one is unique, each one is telling a story.
Football, slowed down. In this workshop, an object designed for speed, performance, and mass production became something fragile, personal, and imperfect.
Together with @Collin, we hosted a workshop inviting contributors to capture their most memorable and formative football moment on a dedicated ceramic football boot silhouette.
We were more than thrilled by the response — calling into our wider cosmos of designers and creators beyond our usual bubble, many of whom were just as excited to come down, get their hands dirty, and work on the boot.
The result was a vivid, carefully curated group of people, and an atmosphere we couldn’t have wished for more.
The briefing was short and sweet:
What is your most memorable and formative football memory?
Let´s captured these moments and make them immortal through a showcase pottery piece
narrative of the sport toward a grittier, more authentic portrayal—one that embraced grass stains, bruises, and vulnerability. The team created a truly captivating editorial that has the potential to redefine the current visual culture of soccer.
This is purely pro-active and guerrilla project. None of the partners were directly involved (but gave their approval) or gave creative input. It follows the Woern.wtf credo of „If you feel discontent with the status quo, you gotta show your vision of it. Even if it takes some effort“. That’s where the fun begins.
